6 Steps on How to Join the Marines: Your Path to Military Glory

Applying for the Marines is a multi-step process that begins with meeting the basic eligibility requirements. These requirements include being a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, being between the ages of 17 and 28, and having a high school diploma or equivalent. Once you have met the basic eligibility requirements, you will need to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test. The ASVAB test is a timed, multiple-choice test that measures your aptitude for various military occupations. Your ASVAB score will be used to determine your eligibility for different Marine Corps jobs.

After you have taken the ASVAB test, you will need to meet with a Marine Corps recruiter. The recruiter will discuss your qualifications and help you choose a job that is right for you. Once you have chosen a job, you will need to sign a contract and swear an oath of enlistment. You will then be scheduled to attend boot camp.
