Pantone is a color matching system used in a variety of industries, including graphic design, printing, and manufacturing. It provides a standardized way to identify and reproduce colors, ensuring that colors appear the same across different materials and processes.
When working in Adobe Illustrator, you can choose Pantone colors from the Swatches panel. To do this, click on the Swatches panel (Window > Swatches) and then click on the “New Swatch” button at the bottom of the panel. In the “New Swatch” dialog box, select “Pantone” from the “Color Mode” drop-down menu and then enter the Pantone number of the color you want to add.
