A normal resting pulse rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. A lower resting pulse rate is generally a sign of good heart health and fitness. To check your resting pulse, follow these steps: 1. Sit down in a comfortable chair and relax for a few minutes. 2. Place two fingers on the inside of your wrist, just below the base of your thumb. 3. Apply gentle pressure until you feel your pulse. 4. Count the number of beats you feel in 15 seconds. 5. Multiply this number by 4 to get your resting pulse rate.
